The Southern California Boater's Guide

The Southern California Boater's Guide, released in January 1999, was created by the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Project and Foundation as part of its environmental outreach program. In addition to highlighting the many recreational activities and services offered by the region's 15 harbors, the Guide provides information on ways to keep the marine environment clean, healthy and free of pollution associated with boating maintenance and activities.

The development of this Guide is also part of a California Department of Boating and Waterways/Clean Vessel Act-sponsored boater education program that promotes the use and installation of sanitary pumpout and dump stations in marinas and harbors. It's development would not have been possible without the support and assistance of the CA Department of Boating and Waterways, the California Integrated Waste Management Board and other many partners.
